Launch Countdown and Release Prep

Burglin’ Gnomes is scheduled to unlock on Steam on June 10, 2026 at 14:00 UTC / 7:00 AM Pacific. Steam appdetails still mark it as coming soon, and SteamDB currently lists the full app as prerelease with the same unlock time.
This page is the practical launch plan: what players should do before the button appears, what to check in the first hour, and what this wiki needs from the released game files.
Launch Timeline
Section titled “Launch Timeline”| When | What To Do |
|---|---|
| Now | Wishlist/follow on Steam, share the wiki link with your group, and decide who will host the first lobby. |
| Before June 10 | Read the release FAQ, beginner guide, co-op guide, task guide, materials guide, and troubleshooting page so the group starts with one plan. |
| At unlock | Install the full Steam build, confirm everyone is on the same version, test voice chat, and run one short scout heist before serious progression. |
| First hour | Capture exact task names, material names, costs, screenshots, achievement names, and settings that should replace public-source estimates. |
| After first session | Verify whether demo-era topics changed: gnomium, grabble, fraggles, grenades, Bob, redcaps, toilet flooding, RC car behavior, and public lobbies. |
What Is Confirmed Before Launch
Section titled “What Is Confirmed Before Launch”| Topic | Current Read |
|---|---|
| Release timing | June 10, 2026 at 14:00 UTC / 7:00 AM Pacific, shown by SteamDB and matching the Steam release announcement. |
| Platform | Steam / Windows is confirmed. Steam Deck is listed as Playable with caveats. |
| Co-op size | Steam describes playing with up to five friends, so plan for up to six players total. |
| Core loop | Break into houses, complete High-Gnome tasks, steal household objects, craft equipment, upgrade your home, and avoid danger. |
| Demo status | The old demo was taken down before launch; fresh SteamCMD and store paths did not grant this account a new demo entitlement. |
Watch At Launch
Section titled “Watch At Launch”| Watch Item | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Price | Steam appdetails still reports coming soon without a final price in the public API; check the store at unlock. |
| Demo return | The release announcement says an updated demo might return later, but the current old demo path is not newly obtainable from this account. |
| Public lobbies | The April FAQ said public lobbies were likely but still under consideration because of save/cheater concerns. |
| Saving | The April FAQ says saving is planned for the full version. |
| Languages | Steam and SteamDB list 15 interface languages; verify in-game language options after launch. |
| Steam Deck | SteamDB lists Playable, not Verified. Test text entry, readable task text, and controller prompts before hosting from Deck. |
Wiki Extraction Plan At Unlock
Section titled “Wiki Extraction Plan At Unlock”As soon as app 3844970 is installable, the useful extraction targets are:
- Unity/Mono assemblies for exact task names, item IDs, materials, enemies, home upgrades, equipment, settings, achievements, and progression values.
- Asset bundles/resources for icons, item images, UI art, screenshots, sounds, localization strings, and Steam Deck/controller prompts.
- Localized strings for English plus the 14 other interface languages listed by Steam.
- Config/build metadata: build ID, depot manifest, Unity version, and installed file inventory.
Until those files are installed locally, exact recipes, costs, spawn tables, and hidden achievement requirements should stay marked as launch-watch items instead of invented numbers.
